Unfortunately in our school district the word collaboration is just a word. There is so much going on and everyone is doing there own thing that there is no uniformity. Retention rates are high, proficiency scores are low. This week alone they are using the police force to round up kids truent in the high schools because of the high rate of absences during 9th grade proficiency rates. With this being the main focus, collaboration and anything resembling reform is put on the back burner. The district is so set on those test scores that when good programs come along, they do not sustain them properly or limit the way they implement them to a point of why bother. Tina Warren
