Mark Jenness is Director and Senior Researcher of Science and Mathematics Program Improvement (SAMPI), Institute for Science Education, Western Michigan University. He currently serves as a lead investigator on statewide and local educational improvement efforts, including the Evaluation of the Detroit Annenberg Challenge Grant, Review and Assessment of the Michigan Eisenhower Professional Development Program, evaluation of two NSF-funded Local Systemic Change Projects in West Michigan, Technical Assistance to Michigan Mathematics and Science Centers, and evaluation of the Technology for Educational Literacy and Leadership Project in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He is also Co-Principal Investigator on the Michigan Middle School Mathematics Reform Project, a state-wide effort to improve middle school mathematics teaching and learning.
