What is the "system" being reformed? - Brian Drayton

I have to, unfortunately, agree with your concerns about the divisiveness of initiatives within a district and the effects of that at the classroom level. Teachers become immune to the "latest" - this too shall pass mentality. We've just begun to make connections with several other departments in our district - and what a notion it is to many! Once the conversations start, about collaboarting and working together to meet the needs of teachers and students, the stakeholders in the departments begin to see the possible benefits.
